COMMENTS This is a 258’ Fast RoPax Ferry built by Austal in 1995. It carries 110 cars and 10 13 m trucks. Its service speed is 24 knots and its top speed is 26 knots. The vehicle decks were strengthened to enable carrying the 10 x 13 meter trucks. If the extra strengthening was reduced to original specs the speed would increase by about 4.0 or more knots. The ship is fully operational and the engines were rebuilt recently leaving about 15,000 hours until next rebuild. The ferry is due for a dry docking.
